One of the original 'Good Guys', J.P. joined CKEY in 1962 and left for Montreal in 1966. I last saw him while I was doing a remote in Keswick, Ontario, in 1995 while he was visiting his cottage on Lake Simcoe with his daughter, Jennifer, an Emmy award winning actress who was on the daytime series 'The Bold and the Beautiful".
Jack was an all around nice guy, fun to be with who also took his on-air job very seriously.
He played on the Good Guys baseball and basketball teams at various charity events in Southern Ontario.
When he become afternoon man at CJAD from 1972 through 2005 he was one of the most popular radio personalities in Canada.
J.P. passed away on December 2, 2006, at the age of 65 of complications related to diabetes and a heart condition.
