When it comes to the 'Good Guys' at CKEY, Lee 'Knees' Vogel was at the top of the list. Quiet, modest and blessed with a great voice, he made sure that CKEY was promoted as much off the air as it was on. A founder of the 'Good Guys' baseball and basketball teams that played for charities throughout Southern Ontario, he also turned out at every event where he thought it would do the station good.
Lee was on CKEY from 1962 to 1965 and then he showed up on 'The Mighty KB', WKBW in Buffalo.
Lee is retired and enjoying life in Charleston, South Carolina, where, until this year (2009), he continued playing softball and basketball on the SC seniors team.
